A8 Highway and B190 Route – Beautifully maintained roads, climbing steadily through traditional Swiss chalets, past tightly maintained flower meadows. Grindelwald – The drive finishes here at the base of the incredible Eiger North Face.

Things to Know for the Road

Timing: We recommend leaving early in the morning and arriving in the late afternoon/golden hour. It will give you the best light for photographs and the least amount of traffic.

Styling with Comfort: Driving an SL63 convertible will create a unique experience of freedom on the road. Even during the summer months, it can still be cold when you are high in the mountains; therefore, pack a lightweight jacket and of course, a pair of sunglasses.

The Lauterbrunnen Detour: The direct route to Grindelwald is beautiful and is worth the drive, but if you choose to take a 5 minute detour to the Lauterbrunnen area (the Valley of 72 Waterfalls), you will add quite a bit of magic to an already magical trip.
