Mexico steps up tourism upgrades ahead of 2026 World Cup

Mexico’s host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup — which the country will co-host with the United States and Canada — have announced new investments in public transport, signage, and visitor information centres. According to local authorities, the upgrades include improved airport connections and multilingual wayfinding, all scheduled for completion during 2025.
Local authorities hope the upgrades will make it easier for international fans to move between stadiums, historic centres and beach areas during the tournament.
